This watch, created as a collaboration between Raketa Watch Factory and the Russian designer Denis Simachev, is a unique timepiece intended not so much to measure time as to make sense of it.

«One cannot understand Russian with a rational mind» — this idea is fully shared by both Denis Simachev and Raketa. This famous verse by Fyodor Tyutchev, engraved on the caseback, is one of the main clues to answering the question that legitimately arises: how to read the time on this watch.

Other clues can be found in a booklet containing records of twelve chess games played in different years by two great masters, Alexander Alekhine and Bobby Fischer. The set is completed by a metal chess knight with a vintage Soviet movement Raketa 2609, which will help you to correctly guess the direction of the next move …

A glance through the caseback reveals a manufactured Raketa movement elaborately decorated with Denis Simachev’s signature pattern. The movement has a unique complication that was specially designed for this model and is unparalleled in the world.

The watch comes with a black alligator strap, a red alligator strap, D. SIMACHEV T-shirt, a metal chess knight, and a booklet.

This is a limited edition of 50 pieces only.
