Obraztsov Puppet Theatre
Raketa Watch Factory and Sergei Obraztsov Puppet Theatre signed an Agreement of intent on Cooperation and Partnership on 16 November 2023 at the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
The document was signed by Elena Bulukova, Director of Sergei Obraztsov Puppet Theatre, and David Henderson-Stewart, Managing Director of the Raketa Watch Factory.
The Obraztsov Theatre engaged engineers of the legendary Raketa Watch Factory in consultations on the restoration of the equally legendary facade clock of the theatre.
For more than 50 years, the four-metre-long facade clock has gathered children and adults alike, eagerly awaiting the parade of fairytale characters from 12 houses. Even now, this miniature show by the last century puppet clock keeps delighting the spectators. In May 2023, the clock that has long become an inherent part of the theatre, was removed from the facade for the first time so that its unique features could be preserves and restored.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in a long-term cooperation that would encompass creative activities, professional exchanges, and enhancement of both parties’ visibility and business relations with the aim to preserve and promote global and national cultural values among the theatre’s audience and those committed to Raketa brand.
This cooperation project named ‘New Time of the Obraztsov Theatre’ will lead to the launch of a new limited watch collection with an image of the theatre’s legendary façade clock.
