Warranty and service

What is my warranty?

Your watch is guaranteed for a period of 24 months (Raketa watch with automatic movement) / 12 months (Pobeda watch, Raketa quartz watch) from the date of purchase.
This warranty covers material and manufacturing defects existing at the time of purchase of the watch. The warranty only takes effect if the warranty certificate is dated, fully and correctly completed and stamped by an official Raketa dealer.
You will be entitled to having defects repaired free of charge during the warranty period and upon presenting a valid warranty certificate.

Manufacturer’s warranty does not cover

  1. Normal wear and tear of exterior parts of the watch (e.g. scratched glass/case/bracelet; wear of the strap, etc.);
  2. Color and structure changes of the metal elements made of special alloys, e.g. the dial of "Sputnik-1", bezel inserts of "Space launcher" and "Ekranoplan", or the bezel of "Kashalot";
  3. Water-resistance (please notice: We cannot guarantee that your watch will be permanently water-resistant. The seal may be affected by wear or by an accidental shock to the crown);
  4. Damage (internal and external):
    • resulting from any external mechanical impact, shock or vibration loads and the application of external force to parts of the product: broken or fallen glass, cracks, scratches, scuffing, chips, deformation of materials and parts, scrapping or bending of the crown axis, curvature of the wheels’ axles and balance, deformation of plates, rupture or stretching of parts, detachment of bracelet housing lugs, etc.;
    • caused by caustic chemicals or solvents: alkalis, acids, mercury and its vapors, solvents for plastic, etc.;
    • other damages caused by intentional or careless actions of the buyer or violation of the user’s guide.
  5. Damages caused by the exposure to magnetic fields that may affect watch accuracy or even cause it to stop (please notice: Do not leave the watch near sources of strong magnetic fields and do not keep the watch near household electrical appliances that are a source of static electricity. They can interfere with the operation of stepper motors in the watch movement, which will lead to a violation of the accuracy of the stroke);
  6. Battery life, if the watch has a quartz movement.

The manufacturer’s warranty of the “Raketa” watch ceases to be valid if:

  1. The warranty period has expired;
  2. A non-authorised service centre (apart those specied on the Raketa website), the customer or a third party interfered with the internal design of the watch;
  3. The damage occurred as a result of violation of the user’s guide or inappropriate use of the product (please notice: The Service Centre is able to determine whether the watch stopped or malfunctioned because of the customer’s fault, non-authorised service centers or because of a manufacturing defect).

What should i do if the watch has stopped

If your watch has stopped working, first make sure that the movement is wound up sufficiently, it may need to be wound up. You need to make 15-20 turns with the winding crown and put the watch on your wrist. The movement of the watch with automatic winding will be wound up by the movement of your hand. If you have done everything described above, but the watch still does not work, then you should contact one of our authorized service centers for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Recommendations for care

Mechanical watches are more complex than quartz watches, so they require more careful maintenance.
  • It is recommended to perform preventive maintenance of the movement at least once every 2-3 years. Preventive maintenance is similar to an annual vehicle inspection and involves cleaning/changing the oil and seals, as well as checking the movement.
  • Manually wound movement watches must be wound regularly, otherwise they will stop. The longer the watch stands, the faster the lubricant in the movement thickens. Depending on the movement, the watch should be wound on average once every one or two days, preferably at the same time.
  • Do not apply unnecessary force to the winding crown and carefully follow the winding instructions.
  • Automatic watches wind themselves, but if you do not wear them constantly, they will stop, usually after 40 hours.
