Raketa “Polar” 0242Reference: W-45-17-10-0242
This 24-hour automatic watch is inspired by a soviet model specially designed for polar explorers.
The Raketa Polar watch is inspired by the mythical Raketa model of 1969 worn by Soviet explorers in the extreme conditions of the Arctic. The dial was specially divided into 24 hours so that the wearer could always tell the exact time even beyond the Arctic Circle, where there is no distinction between day and night. It was also specially designed to function in freezing temperatures.
This new model is even better: the dial is protected by an ultra-resistant sapphire glass; the luminous paint on the hands and figures enables the wearer to tell the time in the total darkness of the polar winter; and the case can resist a pressure of 20 ATM (equal to the pressure under 200 metres of water).
The Russian engineers of the Raketa Watch Factory have fitted this model with an automatic movement that they have entirely designed and produced in Saint Petersburg.
