Petrodvorets Watch Factory “Raketa” continues the tradition of collaborations with the leading Russian aviation enterprises.

Raketa Watch Factory celebrates its 295th anniversary

Peter the Great signed the order of the foundation of  the Petrodvorets Factory on November the 3rd in 1721. During 295 years the factory had been changing its main sphere of production several times from small stone factory to huge watch manufactory. Watches from the Petrodvorets Watch Factory were selling in more than 30 countries around the world. The ruby stars for Moscow Kremlin, marble for Saint Isaac’s Cathedral, gemstones for the imperial crown of Catherine the Great, gemstones for the House of Fabergé — all these have been made at the Petrodvorets factory.

Since 1945, the time of the end of the Second World War, the Petrodvorets Watch Factory has become worldwide famous for watch production under the name “Pobeda”(Victory) and “Raketa” in honor of Yuri Gagarin since 1961.

In 2014 the Petrodvorets Watch Factory “Raketa” was chosen to realise the biggest mechanical clock movement in the world in Detskii Mir (Central Children Store) in Lubyanka Street. The clock is made of 5 thousand details and weighs almost 5 tons.

Raketa Watch Factory was founded by Peter the Great in 1721. The factory continues acting like its founder and has started its expansion to Europe. The first representation of Raketa Watch Factory is located at the historical building of the epoch of Alexander II at the prestigious district of Paris on the Rue de Saint-Pétersbourg.
